Reflexology labor is the method in which the pain or the discomfort of the mothers is lessened during the child birth. This method is usually related to the feet. Reflexology labor reduces labor pain and eases labor with the help of foot message. Today more and more nurses are taking training of the reflexology technique to help the mothers during their child birth.

Reflexology is a type of specialized foot message but it is sometimes also performed on the hands. This method is somewhat similar to acupressure as in this method certain parts of the body are put under pressure. These pressure points are usually in the foot.

Reflexology labor not only relaxes and eases you it also helps to move smoothly and faster to your delivery date. This puts pressure in some selected areas. You can sometimes try out putting these pressures on yourself. You can do it yourself. You must stop the pressure as and when the contractions begin. As soon as the contractions stop start putting the pressure again.

Apply these reflexology tips only if your due date of labor has passed. Reflexology labor must not be used by until you are on the 41st week of your pregnancy. It is taken for granted that you will surely not want your baby to come out before it delivery date has arrived.

Reflexology labor is a natural method of labor and it helps you to reach the delivery room fast and with much ease. There are some points where this reflexology labor method is applied. Firstly you need to apply pressure on parts of your foot to start the reactions. Reflexology has more than one method to apply pressure to your foot.

The first point which you can try is somewhat above your ankle, the position is about four fingers above the ankle. Reflexology can also be called touch therapy as it reflexology induces labor with help of a single touch. Reflexology labor does not have any side effect and is not at all harmful. It is also an easy method and you can do it yourself at home.
