For years we have heard that it is good to have sex to induce labor. It is said that if the due date of your delivery is over and still your baby is not coming down then you can try sex to induce labor. You can have sex at the end of your pregnancy period to start your labor yourself.

There are different opinions about whether sex helps to induce labor or not. Many doctors face this question from their patients that whether sex to induce labor works or not. The answer cannot be given straight away. It might be or it might not be.

Actually it varies from person to person. There is not data available about this subject and hence much cannot be said in favor of it. Sex helps the cervix to ripen. There is a hormone called Prostaglandins, this hormone helps the cervix to ripen as well as become softer. It also prepares the cervix to open naturally which helps in child birth. This hormone is found in the semen of the men. Sex helps to dilute the cervix.

You need to deposit the Prostaglandins on the cervix to make it smooth and easy. If the mother has some complications and cannot sex at that point of time then the mother can collect some semen and hold the thing against the cervix of the woman.

For women who have complications regarding child birth, sex to induce labor can be painful and they might not be able to tolerate the pain during sex. It is better not to have sex to induce labor for those women. Another great method of inducing labor is by nipple stimulation. Nipple stimulation helps in the release of a hormone called oxytocin; this hormone is responsible for having contractions at that time.

The other thing is that, the orgasms too produce the same hormone and hence the orgasms can also help in having contractions and hence inducing labor. Therefore sex to induce labor is better for those who can take it at that point of time.

Consult your doctor or midwife to be sure you can use these tips safely.

Reflexology to induce labor is one of the popular methods for natural birth. This method has some similarity or the other with the method of acupressure. Both these methods are based on putting pressure at a particular point of a body part. Putting this kind of pressure helps the pregnant lady in many ways. It normalizes the pain of labor and eases the pains.

Reflexology deals with putting pressure especially on the feet of the pregnant woman. This practice is popular when the baby is due after 41 weeks of pregnancy and not before that at all. The methods of reflexology to induce labors are mentioned here. The first method is known as inside heel.

In this method the point inside the heel of each foot is pressed. You must easily find out this spot. When are successful in finding out this spot you will feel that this spot is a bit tender one. The second method is the point between the big toe and the second toe. This point is a little below the big toe and the second toe, it is almost one finger width below them.

This spot is also easy to find because as soon as you find it you will feel the tenderness of the spot. You need to put pressure on both of these points to allow contractions. There are other methods of reflexology to induce labor too. The third method is the arch of each foot.

This spot is located in front of you heel; it is just the arch of your foot. This is also another tender spot. You need to apply pressure to this point. Give a firm pressure but not too hard because as it is a tender spots it hurts. As you doing this you will find that the tension releasing and the more pressure you apply the better.

This point is the one at which giving pressure helps in easing the pain of the contractions at the time of your delivery. The last point is the most effective method. It is called the thumb point. You need to press the central part of the thumb for about 3 minutes. This is how reflexology to induce labor helps.

Reflexology labor is the method in which the pain or the discomfort of the mothers is lessened during the child birth. This method is usually related to the feet. Reflexology labor reduces labor pain and eases labor with the help of foot message. Today more and more nurses are taking training of the reflexology technique to help the mothers during their child birth.

Reflexology is a type of specialized foot message but it is sometimes also performed on the hands. This method is somewhat similar to acupressure as in this method certain parts of the body are put under pressure. These pressure points are usually in the foot.

Reflexology labor not only relaxes and eases you it also helps to move smoothly and faster to your delivery date. This puts pressure in some selected areas. You can sometimes try out putting these pressures on yourself. You can do it yourself. You must stop the pressure as and when the contractions begin. As soon as the contractions stop start putting the pressure again.

Apply these reflexology tips only if your due date of labor has passed. Reflexology labor must not be used by until you are on the 41st week of your pregnancy. It is taken for granted that you will surely not want your baby to come out before it delivery date has arrived.

Reflexology labor is a natural method of labor and it helps you to reach the delivery room fast and with much ease. There are some points where this reflexology labor method is applied. Firstly you need to apply pressure on parts of your foot to start the reactions. Reflexology has more than one method to apply pressure to your foot.

The first point which you can try is somewhat above your ankle, the position is about four fingers above the ankle. Reflexology can also be called touch therapy as it reflexology induces labor with help of a single touch. Reflexology labor does not have any side effect and is not at all harmful. It is also an easy method and you can do it yourself at home.

To use pressure points to induce labor you need to learn about specific areas (points) on the body that will have that effect.

Acupressure has been used to induce labor for a long time. Therefore it is a fact that pressure points to induce labor are a successful method. There are few pressure points that are known to people which helps in inducing labor in a natural way. It might happen that you pregnancy due date is over and still you are not having any labor pain.

At this point of time you need some natural method of inducing labor rather than some medical induction procedure. The pressure points to induce labor process are hundred percent effective and also has no side effects at all. It helps in stimulating your body parts important in child birth and helps the baby to descend easily.

For using pressure points to induce labor you can yourself practice it or can take a partner who will help you in achieving the goal. Here are four ways of pressure points to induce labor.

Firstly the Adjoining Valley method, this technique helps in stimulating your large intestine which in turn eases you labor pain. This is done by the webbing between the forefinger and the thumb. Once you touch this area you will feel that how tender it is to your touch.

The next method is the Shoulder Well method. In this technique you need to put the pressure on your trapezius muscle. This is the large muscle that connects the neck to your shoulder. Apply a firm pressure but remember that you need to be gentle with your pressure.

The Three Yin Crossing is the next method in pressure points to induce labor. This method will help you in strengthening your contractions that are weak. This point is located above the ankle by almost the width of your hand. It is just beside your calf muscle. You will find a tender area while putting pressure on this area that is the exact area where you should put the pressure on.

The fourth and the last method is the Big and High method. This area can be found between the ankle bones. Putting pressure on this part will help your baby to descend.

These 4 pressure points to induce labor are only the tip of the iceberg. There are dozens of other pressure points you can use to induce labor. Find out what other pressure points to induce labor can lead you to a safe, pain-free, and easy birth.

Use of castor oil to induce labor naturally is an old and great method. It is generally used when your pregnancy has crossed the due date. Castor oil to induce labor is a better way than to induce labor through medication. Earlier most of the doctors and the midwives who loved to use castor oil during pregnancy. But as time passed many new medical methods were introduced and they were used more than these natural ways. Castor oil helps your cervix to soften and also makes it thinner. It also helps in diluting the cervix a bit. But if you have not reached your due date of labor or if your pregnancy has some crisis then never use castor oil.

Castor oil is usually used as a laxative that stimulates your bowels. Castor oil is not at all good in taste and cause side effects like vomiting, cramps in abdomen and nausea. If you are prone to all this symptoms then it is better that you do not try castor oil at all. Always take an opinion of the doctor or the physician before using castor oil. Some women have given verdict against castor oil while other women are overwhelmed with the results they have got by using castor oil. Many believe that it was the method of the midwives when they used to treat the pregnant women at home and now it obsolete. There also have been some researches on castor oil.

You can use castor oil to induce labor in various ways. You will get castor oil at many stores who sell medicines. It is better if you mix the castor oil some other ingredients while taking it because castor oil itself is tastes very bad. You can use castor oil in some of the recipes and take it that way. You can have castor oil along with orange juice, you can mix 2 ounce of castor oil with 6 ounce of orange juice and one teaspoon on baking soda. This way you will like drinking the castor oil. You can also have a milk shake with a little bit of castor oil in it.

The use of acupressure to induce labor is based on philosophy held by acupressure that states that putting pressure at specific points to reduce pain can also be used to prompt induction and beginning of labor. Acupressure to induce labor also works on that mechanism. It gives pressure to the some of the sensitive points of the body. Acupressure is done with the use of thumbs and fingers.

There are many natural ways of inducing labor but some of the natural ways too have some drawbacks. Acupressure to induce labor is a favorite with almost every pregnant woman. When the woman is giving birth to a child the first and foremost thing that she needs to keep in mind is the safety of the baby as well of herself.

Acupressure to induce labor is one of the most soothing practices and it is also the best because it has no such side effects, other remedies might have some side effects. The acupressure helps the cervix of the mother to dilute and ripen and thus makes child birth an easy process.

You can use these steps to use acupressure to induce labor. There are two effective pressure points that will help you with your contractions. The first is located between your index finger and your thumb. The webbing between these fingers is the point. Another point is about four fingers above the ankle bone, it is inside the ankle bone.

You now need to stimulate these pressure points. To do so in the first case you need to rub the webbing for at least 30 to 60 seconds in a motion which is circular. Take a break for a minute or two and then start again. You will feel the contractions taking place. For the second acupressure point, try and press the point for a while, if you are on the right spot then it will feel a bit sore.

Press it and rub the point in a circular motion. Again you will feel that with the rubbing you are having some contractions. Stop when the contractions are taking place and after it has stopped begin again. This is how acupressure to induce labor takes place. You just need to find out the correct spot.

What is acupressure labor and how it can help you achieve easier, faster, and safer birth…

Doctors and common people have been using acupressure for almost 1000 years to treat different kinds of illness. In acupressure there are some points that can even induce labor in the would-be mother. Acupressure labor is a widely practiced medical phenomenon.

Acupressure is a method of putting a pressure by a finger. Many years ago the Chinese people found out that the soldiers who had wound from the battle found some relief through this pressure with the finger. It was from then that the concept of acupressure originated. Acupressure works with pressure points and these pressure points give relief to any kind of pain.

Acupressure labor is one of the most effective ways during labor. It helps in strengthening the contractions of the pregnant women. It is also useful when the water is broken and the active labor in the woman still has not started. This acupressure labor can also be used when the pregnant woman is overdue and she wants to have some contractions.

It is a fact that all the pressure points do not work similarly for everyone. Before using the pressure points you have to make sure that it is perfect for you and will work for you. Check it with your obstetrician or the person who has taken responsibility of your child birth.

Acupressure labor should not be done till you know that it is safe for you. Do not ask anybody about this, ask only the physician and then always go for a second opinion. To find out the pressure points you need to be sensitive. The pressure points come to you naturally. Try out by putting pressure on the different spots and the pressure must vary every time.

Once the pressure is put on the right place the mother would understand and then stick to that point. If you find that the pressures that you are putting are a bit more painful then try to ease the pressure a bit. By using these pressure points you will be able to naturally induce labor. Many of the pregnant women have tried acupressure labor to induce natural labor and have been successful.
